The Gleneagles Computer Club was started in 1989 with 6 to 8 members and has since grown to over 450 members. The purpose of the club is to provide training, assistance and share information about current computer software, hardware, viruses and other computer issues. ALL GLENEAGLES RESIDENTS ARE WELCOME and ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE.
From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, we provide general current computer information followed by a
Program featuring a guest speaker on various current interest computer topics.
Meetings conclude with an open “Questions and Answer” session.
Our club members maintain this web site ( www.gleneaglescomputer.org ) where you can view and print the many Handouts and Tutorials we have available. In addition, a number of our members are available to "help" other "Members" with basic computer problems. To be a "Member" of the Gleneagles Computer Club, print and forward our Application with your $15.00 per person dues for the season (Sept. to May).
Currently over 325 members are planning to attend Classes at our Computer Center located in the Lomond Hills Satellite. Classes range from the very Beginner to more Advanced users and included hands-on use of a Club wireless laptop or desktop computer plus a programmed set of instructions. Last year we added wireless microphones and a projector screen at the Stratheran Satellite for our meetings, to go with our new projector. Your Club has been well represented on the "WiFi" committee which installation is fairly complete. Wireless Internet service, open for use to everone in the entire community, is the only one in Palm Beach County. Our "State of the art" computer center in the Lomond Hills Satellite is also one of a kind in this area, and is a tribute to the Computer Club's Educational committee and the Country Club Board of Governors and Management. Everyone Computer Club BOard and Education Committees are dedicated to making this 2010-2011 season "better than ever".

Members and non-members are welcome to attend their very informative meetings. BRCS maintains a series of Special Interest Groups (SIG's), which meet at various evenings during the month. These groups help those who want to learn more about specific programs or software applications.
Many of our monthly meeting speakers and programs are supplied by BRCS. They also have a web site, http://www.brcs.org where you will find the latest up to date information.
